BROWNSBURG, Ind. — On Friday, November 8, 2024, the Brownsburg High School Bulldogs secured a dramatic victory against the Ben Davis High School Giants, winning 38-35 in the IHSAA Class 6A Sectional 5 championship game. The game, held at Ben Davis High School, was a thrilling contest that saw the Bulldogs overcome a significant halftime deficit to advance in the state tournament.
The Giants dominated the first half, leading 35-7 at halftime. However, the Bulldogs mounted an impressive comeback in the second half, scoring 31 unanswered points. Quarterback Oscar Frye led the charge, connecting with wide receiver Avin Robinson for multiple key plays, including a 44-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Running back Iosua Stephens contributed crucial rushing touchdowns, and the defense tightened, preventing any second-half scoring by Ben Davis.
This victory propels Brownsburg into the regional championship, where they will face the Fishers High School Tigers on Friday, November 15, 2024. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Fishers High School. Community members are encouraged to attend and support the Bulldogs as they continue their pursuit of a state title.
