BROWNSBURG, Ind. — The town of Brownsburg continues to enhance its outdoor amenities with the expansion of its trail network. In September 2024, the Brownsburg community celebrated the addition of 1.25 miles to the town’s trail system, made possible through a generous donation from the B&O Trail Association. This extension furthers Brownsburg’s commitment to providing residents with more recreational spaces and access to nature, supporting both community well-being and sustainability.
The new section of the trail connects key areas of Brownsburg and is expected to promote outdoor activity and offer scenic routes for walking, running, and biking. The B&O Trail has long been a local favorite for residents, and this expansion will allow even more people to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Town officials noted that this project aligns with Brownsburg’s ongoing efforts to improve its parks and green spaces, benefiting the town’s growing population.
This trail expansion is part of a broader initiative to enhance Brownsburg’s public spaces and infrastructure. In addition to the trail work, Brownsburg has also been awarded $507,214 in grant funds for road infrastructure improvements, ensuring that both transportation and recreational facilities continue to meet the needs of the community.
The B&O Trail extension is just one of several exciting developments in Brownsburg this fall. Other recent projects include a groundbreaking ceremony for a new medical facility at Hendricks Regional Health and the opening of a large distribution center by Postal Center International (PCI), which is expected to create nearly 100 jobs in the town – Brownsburg Parks.
